This could be an awesome jacket. I have another Columbia jacket with the same reflective lining and it’s amazing how warm it is. This jacket however runs small. I bought a M and it fits like a S: I can fit a fleece under but then it’s uncomfortably tight so reality is I would never do that.I was going to exchange for a large but the large is almost $35 more… why?So unless Amazon wants to give me a discount then I’m just returning it.Hermosa chompa, es muy bonita. Hay otros modelos en la misma marca y misma talla que me quedan más flojos pero este es un poco más pequeño en comparación a otros.Purchased to go to Austria, didn't need a heavy ski jacket, but needed something warmer than a fleece. Jacket is very light, folded nicely in suitcase, and kept me at a very comfortable temperature. I wore this for over an hour in an ice cave that was 0 degrees celsius and I neither froze or got too hot. Also wore in the Alps where it was windy and snowing, and again I felt just right, and this is from a person that hates the cold. Jacket is totally worth it!Fit as expected and super comfy. Not too chunky … just right! Very very warm.This jacket is amazing. Purchased it for my whole family. I ordered the jacket in a large size. I usually wear a petite medium - large in clothes..I was afraid a medium would be too tight so I ordered the large..... It fits great! I don't know about wearing a heavy sweater underneath though. But then with the jacket's omni-heat inner layer I don't think that I would need a heavy sweater underneath it. I was concerned about the sleeves being way too long but they aren't. I bought this because I am traveling to the Smokey Mountains in a few weeks (I live in Florida) and wanted a jacket that wasn't bulky. And something to keep me warm since I am a sissy with cold weather! I am thinking this will work quite well. I will try to post a comment after I come back to let people know how the jacket worked for me.To my fellow Amazon shoppers; I live in Northern Idaho. Where I live there is a ton of wind. I have tried all kinds of winter jackets, wind breakers, and sweatshirts. I grew up wearing Columbia, so I knew that I would be okay with this coat! However, I had read some of the reviews from the past year and they were very mixed! The good reviews were very good, but the bad were the worst! Some of the reviews said that the thumb wholes were made for a child, and cut into their hands. A few stated that their jackets did not have the true Columbia logo on it. The worst one read that the horizontal stitching was not just on the surface, but it was stitched from front to back making the jacket impossible to even wear! I took the plunge, I am not afraid to return an item, especially to Amazon, they have such great customer service, and interaction with their customers. I knew that they would make things right if the jacket was not up to standard. When I logged into my account and saw that the jacket was half off of the original price! Anyone can risk a jacket for 60 dollars right? As soon as I received my coat, I went through, an made sure that my coat did not contain any of the negative mistakes as with other reveiwers. I can honestly say this is one of the better things I have ordered online. I am very happy with this purchase. I would absolutoley recommend this jacket to anyone in need of a great winter coat. The thumb pieces to not cut into my hand. The jacket’s reflective lining helps to preserve my body heat for those extremely windy days! Thank you to the Amazon staff for allowing us consumers to afford Columbia jackets on a budget, poor people need warm winters as well! To those who have read this far, buy the dang thing, you will not regret it!This is the best jacket for efficient protection against cold weather. I wore this in weather 4-8 deg C in the Himalayan mountains with no base layer at all. And at 0-4 deg C with a base layer (Columbia omni heat base layer).I bought this and not the one with down feathers since I do not like using animal based products.Bought this in a Medium for myself and a Large for my best friend who is much bustier than me.We both love the gorgeous deep olive green colour, quality and fit.I swear by Columbia Omni Heat and don't wear any other brand of quilted jackets as they're either too bulky or just not warm enough. I now have 6 x Columbia Heavenly jackets in various colours and both lengths that this range comes in.I wore a Columbia Omni Heat lined jacket one Christmas in Sweden with just a short sleeved T-SHIRT underneath when the temperature outside was just -23C and it kept me nice and warm. Because the lining reflects your body temperature, I find it most effective when I'm wearing short Sleeved top underneath.Always great prices from Amazon!I love this jacket. I had a Columbia jacket like this years ago and I still wear it today. They last forever. Wash beautifully and keep you warm. The back is a bit longer than the front to keep your backside warm. The collar is higher on this jacket than my old one so no need for a scarf. I like black because my light blue one needed washing weekly because make up would get on the collar and cuffs get dirty quickly. It has built in cuffs with thumb hole so snow doesn't get inside at all. 2 zippered pockets outside and 1 inside. Highly recommend!Size small fits just right for 5'7" - 110 pound person. Slight bit of room for a not-too-bulky sweater underneath. Fits just below the hip. Have previously owned a similar Columbia jacket so am trusting the quality when the colder weather comes. The malbec color is burgundy and is quite nice.Fantastic late Fall/early Winter jacket. I live in Montreal so it gets chilly, bought this as an in-between jacket. Probably good for 0-10 degrees Celsius, but guessing not below zero, unless you layer up. This is based on just wearing a long sleeve top underneath. Haven’t tried it in the colder temperatures yet. The collar is lined with a super soft material, softer than fleece. Super lightweight, breathable and comfortable. Jacket length hits at the hip and sleeves were perfect for me. Stitching pattern is slimming and flattering. Love this jacket!
