I bought this jacket in preparation for Chicago and Japan's winter weather and I have to say it's works perfectly and kept me warm but not sweaty. I love the fact that there's a detachable liner inside so I can adapt to indoors or more mild weather and you can take the faux fur off the hood as well.I've also worn the jacket in light rain and it's completely waterproof on that aspect but I've yet to try it in heavy rain for prolonged periods of time but I suspect it would hold up fine.I would definitely buy this jacket again!
