This is extremely lightweight and packable. The 3-layer fabric, with a waterproof membrane bonded between the face and liner, is very comfortable against your skin. It's "critically seam sealed" (seams from the armholes up are taped) so the jacket should be protective in most rain conditions. It's roomy on top but more slender at the hip, where for me it was too snug to easily fit over a sweater/fleece top. The non-adjustable hood fit well and didn't fall over my eyes, but the sleeves fell over my hands (openings too wide). I had also bought the the longer Caparra Trench, which is roomy throughout and has smaller sleeve openings, so I kept that and returned the jacket.
