This rain jacket is great in theory. The description and the checklist at the bottom of the page is what ultimately helped me make my decision. I tried the Sleeker jacket and Arcadia jacket II but the Evapouration jacket won in comparison because I didn't like the pesky Velcro that came with the other two jackets. If it weren't for the Velcro on the Sleeker, I may have ended up choosing it over the Evap. The con on the Evap jacket is how plasticy it feels putting on. I can already see it now, when it's humid and pouring, my skin will definitely stick to the interior of the jacket. A mesh lining would've been more effective to avoid that mess. Another con is I was hoping is that it would be more packable. I'm able to fold it pretty small but there's nothing to hold it in place with and I've been having issues finding guides online as to how to pack it into the pocket as advertised on the checklist.I bought this jacket strictly for my upcoming backpacking trip in Thailand and I wanted something packable which wouldn't take up too much space in my backpack. I may just end up purchasing a little storage bag I can pack it into for easier storing.
