I recently felt that I needed one of two pairs of new jeans, one that is really soft for travel and another one if I found an awesome second pair. I wanted to keep them around $100, though less would be better. (I can’t afford to get another pair of AG jeans right now, though I love them. I also liked my AE jeans for a while, before realizing the waist keeps falling down.) Since Amazon was having a sale, I ordered the following to try out:1 Liverpool Jeans Penny Lane Abby Skinny Jean, PlutoThis pair was, by far, the softest of all of them and perfect for traveling. I am definitely keep this pair. The material is like a thick legging and the color is slimming, which a touch of fading on the front, but not too much. The finishing is not as perfect as my AG jeans, but for less than $85, I’m fine with that. I have a similar pair of AE jeans that I loved, but the zipper on that pair keeps falling down while I’m wearing them. I will likely try out the key-ring hack, but I decided to keep this one as well.2 Liverpool Jeans Marquee Denim Abby Skinny Jean, Dark ValleyThis pair was in 2nd softest of the four jeans, but the color was lighter and it had whiskering, which I’m not the biggest fan of. The whiskering is not too bad, though. The color is more grey/grittier than the other colors, which I kind of like for certain looks.3 Liverpool Jeans Jay Way Sadie Straight Leg Jean, BlueThis pair was the least soft of all the jeans, but the fit was different. I was on the fence about this one because I liked the straight leg for certain looks, but I just couldn’t keep it after trying out all the other softer jeans.4 DL1961 Coco Curvy Straight Leg Jean Twilight (which I ordered about a month ago)This pair I’m also on the fence about. It is the most expensive, around $40 more expensive, and the color is more blue than I like. I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s really blue, like the blue from a ballpoint pen, which is not a bad color, but I tend to like more dark, greyer colors. The fabric is nice, thicker than all the Liverpools. I love the curvy aspect of them, however. I am curvy (and a size 8), and these did a great job staying up where they should on the waist. After trying them all on again, though, I think they all seem to do a good job staying where they should waist-wise. This pair is also the longest of all of the jeans, though I think they are all too long for me (I’m 5’3”), so I’ll have to alter them, whichever one(s) I pick. I do like that they are straight-legged.If I could keep all the ones I like, I would keep 1, 2, and 4. But I only want to keep 2, so I will likely pick 1 and 4 since they are very different and I like to have variety depending on my mood. Hope this helps!
